An emblematic figure of the racing world is gone. Dominik Cordeau died this Monday morning at the age of 62, from a cardiac arrest. The information moved a large part of his colleagues, who still rubbed shoulders with him this Saturday on the racecourse of La Rochelle Chatelaillon (Charente-Maritime) and the next day on that of Angoulême (Charente) of which he was the President. Based in the commune of Champagné-Saint-Hilaire (Vienne), the professional won 1,884 races as a trainer and 1,233 as a driver. Riders will long remember his magnificent performances with champion

More recently, he regularly competed in quintés events in the Paris region as well as in the provinces with the excellent

.
The latter had shared the victory with the late
Aubrion du Gers
, winner of
Bold Eagle
a few months earlier, during a Grand National du Trot event in Agen in 2018.
