    These are the updated data of the 2021 bulletin of the Ministry of Health which monitors 27 cities. In particular Brescia orange today and tomorrow and red on Sunday. Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 orange sticker for Bologna, Bolzano, Florence, Perugia and Turin. On Sunday 20 Ancona, Campobasso, Palermo, Rieti, Rome and Verona are added in orange. "As for 2020 - reads the ministry website on heat waves - the planning of prevention activities to counter the effects of heat is particularly relevant in relation to the COVID-19 epidemic and its evolution. It is important, in this context, to intensify the socio-health surveillance, especially with regard to the subgroups at greatest risk, to prevent any deterioration in health conditions ".



Some recent case studies, it is underlined, "suggest, in fact, a lower tolerance to heat of people who have developed a post Covid syndrome (long-term COVID-19), characterized, even months after infection, by symptoms such as difficulty in breathing and coughing, or other disturbances such as palpitations, weakness, fever, sleep disturbances, dizziness, delirium (in older people), difficulty concentrating, gastrointestinal disturbances, anxiety and depression ". The bulletins on heat waves in Italy, then explains the ministry, are published as every year starting from May from Monday to Friday on the portal, until mid-September. They are elaborated by the Department of Epidemiology SSR Regione Lazio, in theas part of the national operating system for forecasting and preventing the effects of heat on health, coordinated by the ministry.



The system is located in 27 Italian cities and makes it possible to identify, on a daily basis, for each specific urban area, the weather-climatic conditions at risk for health, especially for vulnerable subjects such as the elderly and chronically ill. The monitored cities are: Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Cagliari, Campobasso, Catania, Civitavecchia, Florence, Frosinone, Genoa, Latina, Messina, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Perugia, Pescara, Reggio Calabria, Rieti, Rome, Turin, Trieste, Venice, Verona, Viterbo.
