(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 05 - The highly anticipated return to Westeros gets a little closer with the first official photos from the set, just released by Hbo, of House of the Dragon, the first spin-off of the Throne of Swords expected to debut on Sky and NOW simultaneously with the US airing in 2022. Based on George RR Martin's novel "Fire and Blood" and set 300 years before the events of the parent series, House of the Dragon will tell the story of House Targaryen.
In the photos, some of the protagonists of the new series: Emma D'Arcy in the role of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen: eldest daughter of King Viserys, knight of dragons of Valyriapurosangue. Most would say that Rhaenyra was born with everything she could possibly want… but she wasn't born a man. Like "The Sea Snake," the most famous sea-faring adventurer in the history of Westeros,Lord Corlys is richer than the Lannisters and claims to have the largest fleet in the world. Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower: daughter of Otto Hightower, Hand of the King, is the most beautiful woman of all the Seven Kingdoms. She grew up in the Red Keep, a group of people closest to the King. She has polite grace and political acumen. Rhys Ifans is Otto Hightower: Hand of the King, Ser Otto is a loyal servant of the King and his kingdom.
According to him, the biggest threat to the kingdom is Daemon, the King's brother, and his position as heir to the throne. (HANDLE).
