1 kg of onions
4 tbsp rapeseed oil
400 g grated Gouda cheese
8 eggs (M)
300 ml of milk
200 g sour cream
260 g flour
salt
black pepper
Paprika powder
300 g of diced bacon

Onion cake without a base: a quick recipe for the tray
Grease the baking sheet with butter and dust it with a little flour.
Preheat the oven to 180 ° C top / bottom heat or 160 ° C fan oven.
Peel, halve and cut the onions into fine rings.
Heat the rapeseed oil in a pan and sauté the onions until translucent.
Let cool down briefly and mix with the grated Gouda.
Mix the eggs, milk and sour cream in a bowl.
Then mix in the flour and onions.
Now season the dough with salt, pepper and paprika powder.
Leave the bacon out in the hot pan.
Then mix the bacon into the onion batter last.
Place all of the batter on the baking sheet and bake the onion cake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.

cool down a bit and cut it into pieces.
Then best serve lukewarm, with a side salad if you like.
If there is any leftover onion pie, you can easily store the remaining pieces in the refrigerator for about two days.
