The Hamburger have parted ways with coach Daniel Thioune.
The second division is reacting to the persistent negative streak in the final spurt of promotion.
The Rothosen have only won two of the last twelve games and would need extreme support to return to the Bundesliga *.

So the Hanseatic people are now pulling their last ace up their sleeve: Horst Hrubesch!
The 70-year-old young director will take over the position of head coach for the season's final spurt, as the HSV announced on its website.
There it says in the wording:

“HSV is changing its head coach. Board member Jonas Boldt and sports director Michael Mutzel released Daniel Thioune from all tasks with immediate effect. Horst Hrubesch, junior director of Rothosen, will take over the coaching role until the end of this season.
The board and the sports director informed the team about the decisions on Monday morning. The first training session, directed by Hrubesch, will take place on Monday afternoon. "
Horst Hrubesch: The headball monster becomes HSV coach
Hrubesch is a German football legend, in 1980 he became European champion with the DFB *, and two years later he was vice world champion.
Born in Westphalia, he won the German championship three times with HSV and the European Champion's Cup once.
