Mats Hummels' own goal was enough to give France a 1-0 win over Germany in their opening Group F campaign for the European Football Championship, with Germany losing their opening match in the European Championship finals for the first time.
With this victory, France will be unbeaten in the last 17 official matches it has played, and ranked second in Group F behind Portugal, which beat Hungary 3-0.
