A young woman suddenly makes an alleged life-saving diagnosis on the sidelines during an ice hockey game.

Montréal - A student is watching a Canadian ice hockey game.

Little does she suspect that this evening she will become a "heroine" for a man.

But that's exactly what happened at a Seattle Kraken game in the USA * against the Vancouver Canucks. A young woman was one of the spectators of the game.

Suddenly she discovered a suspicious mole on the neck of the kit man, Brian "Red" Hamilton.

The medical student acted without thinking.

She desperately tried to get the attendant's attention.

Finally she wrote a message on her cell phone.

She held the cell phone screen against the pane separating the audience from the Canucks bench.

This was finally noticed by Hamilton.

The display said, “The mole on the back of your neck may be cancer.

Please go to a doctor! "

The Canadian ice hockey club's kit manager had never noticed the dangerous mole himself.

During the examination, however, it turned out to be malignant melanoma, also known as black skin cancer.

The doctors removed the malignant tumor.

But at this point in time, his alleged lifesaver could of course no longer be found.

So the man decided to launch an appeal.

His club spread Hamilton's letter on Twitter.

The kit manager wrote in it: "To the woman I'm trying to find: You have changed my life and now I want to find you, just to say thank you so much".

Hamilton's appeal spread like wildfire and a short time later his savior was found.

It was 22-year-old Nadia Popovici.

She was only recently admitted to her medical degree.

At a press conference, Hamilton was overjoyed: "The only reason for the letter was that I really wanted to let her know that her perseverance and everything she did was taken seriously."

She is an "incredible person who took the time to notice something worrying and then find a way to draw attention to it during the chaos of an ice hockey game".

Finally, Hamilton met personally with his "heroine" during another game between the Canucks and the Kraken in Seattle.

The young woman said to Hamilton that she was glad "that you had it examined".

During the game, when the student was wearing an octopus shirt, both teams announced that they would support Popovici's medical studies with $ 10,000.
