Chairman Yesh Atid is expected to respond to Gideon Saar's decision not to recommend any candidate for the formation of the government, and his call for President Rivlin to summon him with Bennett for a discussion in a private government.

The chairman of Yesh Atid, Yair Lapid, is expected to make a live statement shortly.

Lapid is expected to address the political drama that took place in the last hour, when MK Yifat Shasha-Bitton, No. 2 on the "New Hope" list led by Gideon Saar, informed the president that her party does not recommend any candidate for the government.

At the same time, Shasha-Bitton, on behalf of her party, asked President Rivlin to summon the chairman of the right, Naftali Bennett, and the chairman of Yesh Atid, Yair Lapid, to discuss the formation of a private government.

"Everyone has recommended themselves and we can not recommend any of them. We are in a complex reality, after three elections. Also in the previous election you invited Netanyahu and Ganz. We call for Bennett and Lapid to be invited to the president. We need to reach a dialogue," Shasha said. Biton to President Reuben (Ruby) Rivlin.

Zeev Elkin added that "the real chance of forming a government is that of Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid."

It should be noted that President Rivlin made it clear to Shasha-Biton, in response to her request, that he would not intervene politically.

"What you are asking of me I see is that the president must not mess with him," the president explained.

He said, "After the consultations, I need to brew within myself."

Elkin replied that "there is a chance here. I tell these two candidates Bennett and Lapid that our recommendation is in their hands in favor of a change government."

The current political balance of power is that Prime Minister Netanyahu has the majority of recommenders (52) and Lapid only 45. 7 members of the right recommended Naftali Bennett as prime minister, and 6 members of "New Hope", as mentioned, refrained from recommending a candidate.
