In order to improve the service situation in the areas liberated from terrorism in Idlib countryside, Khan Sheikhoun City Council continues to implement several projects, including road maintenance, removal of rubble, and rehabilitation of the electrical network.
The head of the city council, Abdul Karim Al-Najjar, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the mechanisms are currently working to rehabilitate and maintain roads in the city with a length of 5 km, with the removal of rubble and the restoration of water and electricity services to the city, which has cleared the dust of terrorism and is gradually recovering.
In a similar statement, city council member Khaled Rahmoun indicated that the implemented works aim to remove the effects of vandalism during the last period by cleaning and maintaining roads to facilitate the movement of people’s return to them, noting that recent statistics indicate that the number of families returning so far has reached about 600 families, and the number is constantly increasing. Government agencies, in cooperation with a number of international support organizations, are making great efforts during this period to rehabilitate damaged service facilities in areas liberated from terrorism and gradually restore normal life.
