Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was laid to rest yesterday (Tuesday) at a private funeral service at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
She was buried next to her husband and next to some of her former colleagues in court.
Last week, Washington honored 87-year-old Ginsburg, who died on September 18.
Aruna was placed at the top of the stairs to the Supreme Court, and the public was given two days in which to pass Arona and say goodbye.
However, the capital is already looking forward to the approval discussions of its successor Amy Connie Barrett, whom US President Donald Trump announced over the weekend as a candidate to replace Ginsburg.
These discussions are expected to begin on October 12.

Ginsburg's husband, Martin, was buried in Arlington in 2010 after dying of cancer.
He served in the Army as an instructor at an artillery school in Oklahoma, when the couple were newlyweds.
They were married for 56 years, and had two children.
Judge Ginsburg used to keep the framed and folded flag from her husband's closet in her courtroom.
The cemetery is known for its rows of white tombstones, but the area where the Ginsburgs are buried, called Section 5, is an older area of the cemetery, where symbols chosen by the families of the buried are allowed, and the couple's tombstone will be black with a Star of David at the top.
