This weekend will be the first attempt by the judo world to return to routine.

It will happen on the mattresses in Budapest, Hungary, at the local Grand Slam competition.

The city of the chairman of the International Judo Association, Marius Wieser, will serve as a kind of "bubble" starting this morning, which will also include 15 Israeli representatives. The judo branch is the last prominent Olympic branch to return to activity, and already yesterday, corona tests conducted for the Italian delegation revealed four Positive athletes for the virus. They were immediately put on a plane, back to their country.

There will be no competition, the athletes will be locked in a hotel next to the competition hall, the activists will sit in a special booth in the stands, and the mattresses will be disinfected every hour. Judo, all of this, of course, ahead of the summer Olympics in Tokyo.

How closed and sealed is the business?

None of the athletes and activists are allowed to leave the bubble, except for the competition hall.

Whoever of the athletes goes out to another place, will be immediately removed from the competition.

Representatives of the Israeli embassy asked to visit the Israeli delegation, but were told that such a move would not be possible.

Men's delegation: Matan Shani (60 kg), Tal Flicker and Yarin on the other hand (66 kg), Tohar Botbul (73 kg), Lee Kochman and Itai Golan (90 kg), Peter Plachik (up to 100 kg) Kg), Uri Sasson and Serfim Companets (over 100 kg).

All the men except Lee Kochman automatically qualified for the second round and are aiming for three medals, without knowing what the fitness of the other delegations is.

Sagi Muki, who returned from suffering from back pain, will not take part in the competition and missed a possible meeting with Iranian Said Moulay (representing Mongolia).

Women's delegation: Shira Rishoni (48 kg), Gili Cohen and Geffen Primo (52 kg), Timna Nelson-Levy (57 kg), Inbal Shemesh (63 kg) and Maya Goshen (up to 70 kg) ).
