The British newspaper The Sun reported that the woman was an Austrian married to an Egyptian and living in Egypt.
A medical team that treated her arrived at the beach and evacuated her to the hospital while resuscitation attempts lasted for a long time, but apparently the loss of blood and pain caused the shock that led to her death.
