In Gubbio the largest collective wind farm in Italy

(HANDLE) The largest collective wind farm in Italy built by "ènostra", the energy cooperative that offers 100% renewable, ethical and sustainable electricity, was inaugurated in Gubbio. The turbine, located in Cerrone, far from inhabited centers and outside the buffer zone of the ridges and panoramic roads - explains the cooperative - is an Ewt wind turbine of about 900 kw which will produce 2gwh per year


The largest collective wind farm in Italy built by "ènostra", the energy cooperative that offers 100% renewable, ethical and sustainable electricity, was inaugurated in Gubbio. The turbine, located in Cerrone, far from inhabited centers and outside the buffer zone of the ridges and panoramic roads - explains the cooperative - is an Ewt wind turbine of about 900 kw which will produce 2gwh per year of electricity, sufficient to satisfy the demand of 900 families and will avoid the emission of 878 tons of CO2 per year. "A great moment of participation and celebration was celebrated. The response from everyone confirms that we are on the right path and that with collective strength we can accelerate the energy transition", comments Sara Capuzzo,president of ènostra in a note. To celebrate the entry into operation of the plant, on 9 October the cooperative organized a party attended by over 150 members from all over Italy, the mayor of Gubbio Filippo Mario Stirati, the president of the Senate Industry Commission Gianni Girotto , the national Legacoop president Mauro Lusetti, the deputy general manager of Banca Etica Nazzareno Gabrielli, the president of Legambiente Umbria Maurizio Zara.
