(ANSA) - MILAN, JUN 19 - With the transition to the white zone, Lombardy too has adapted to the national legislation which provides for the raising of the limit of occupable seats on half-public offices.

On board trains, buses, trams and subways, therefore, the limit of 50% is passed to that of 80%.

A note sent yesterday to the Public Transport Agencies and to the Municipalities by the Lombard Councilor for Infrastructures and Transport, Claudia Maria Terzi, gave the ok to the service managers.

Councilor Terzi's note refers to the reading dated 17 June by the Conference of Regions of Law 29/2021 and Decree Law 65/2021, an interpretation shared also with the Prevention Group of the Health Commission and with competent ministries, which with the transition from the yellow zone in zonabianca, the limit of filling of the vehicles falls to 50%, even if, for the moment, there is no return to full capacity.

In the white zone, another rule is applied (article 54 of the same Dpcm), which raises the occupancy threshold up to 80% of the available seats based on the vehicle circulation card, with particular regard to a greater reduction in standing seats. than seated ones. However, it will take a few days for transport companies, such as the Milanese Atm, to adapt. In fact, it is necessary to fix the signs, remodel the service and provide information to travelers.
