In the Sportpark Schollbach there is a lot going on on Saturday, and the wrestling evening is dedicated to a special man.

Erding - Just four weeks after the Erding Wrestling Show (EWS) returned to Sportpark Schollbach after the corona pandemic, the next event is already taking place, which, however, has a sad motto.

The “Memorial Wrestling Show” next Saturday, October 23rd (8pm) is dedicated to the recently deceased Gianni Turano, alias Carlo Calabria.

Carlo Calabria was a frequent guest in Erding and made a name for himself as the manager of Hakeem Waqur.

"The EWS wants to support its family with this show and donates five euros to the Turano family for each ticket purchased," says organizer Christof Haas.

To make the evening as attractive as possible for wrestling fans, the EWS has put together a great show with wrestlers from all over Europe.

Michael Kovac from Austria will be there, as will “4-Blocks” star Georges Khoukaz.

In the main fight of the evening there will be a clash between Hakeem Waqur and Tommy Golden.

They already fought against each other at the September event, with Calabria at the ring.

There will also be a fight for the EWS World Championship between defending champion Don Sheen and Dave Blane, who was last able to prevail against nine opponents to qualify for this fight.

Other local heroes such as Hary Haas alias Nobody, Robin Vega or Hardcore Champion David Whitney will also step into the ring.

Tickets are available in advance at eventim.
