The Government confirmed this Sunday
622 new cases
and another
61 deaths
from coronavirus in Argentina, according to data from the last 24 hours.
The number of infections is the
lowest
for a day since June 1 of last year, when they had reported 563.
In this way, the country reaches
5,239,232 infections
detected and
114,428 deaths
since the start of the pandemic.
The data were published this afternoon by the Ministry of Health in the health part that the portfolio produces daily based on the information provided by the provinces.
After 15 weeks with declining infections, the country is going through
the lowest point of the contagion curve
since mid-2020. According to data from the last 7 days -from September 13 to 19-, the average
fell to 2,099 infected per day
.

: on August 19 the average was 7,227 new infections per day.
As a reference, it is worth bearing in mind that at the peak of the pandemic, registered in May, the average reached a ceiling of 33,171.

with covid-19 in all provinces, of which
1,496 are in intensive care

The occupation of critical beds for all pathologies fell to 39.4% nationwide (42.2% in the AMBA).
Despite this slowdown, Argentina ranks
9th
among the countries with the highest number of positive cases detected throughout the pandemic.
Meanwhile, it ranks

among those with the most fatalities registered, according to the Worldometers site.
As for the daily average of deaths, it is

-with the data of the last week- and remains well below the record of 603 registered on June 11.
No test data
For the 11th consecutive day, this Sunday
the number of tests carried out in the country was not published
, which makes it impossible to calculate the positivity rate;
that is, the number of patients swabbed who have the virus.
It is a key indicator to measure the operation of the infection tracking strategy.
The health portfolio attributes this situation to "a system error between the SNVS (National Health Surveillance System) base and the impact on the dashboard that does not allow the day's tests to be viewed".

among the 580,000 from Covishield, the 1,944,000 received by the Covax mechanism, 12,389,500 provided directly by the laboratory, 400,000 donated by Spain and 811,000 by Mexico.
Added to this are 24,448,000 from the Sinopharm laboratory (not counting those that will arrive tomorrow), 3,500,000 from Moderna donated by the United States, 400,000 from CanSino and 260,910 from Pfizer.
