New clashes broke out Monday evening around 11 p.m. in Tourcoing (North) between police officers and some residents. And this, for the third

The nights of violence never end in Tourcoing (North).

Clashes broke out again Monday evening, around 11 p.m., in line with the two previous evenings.

The tension is rising in three districts of the city, in particular that of Burgundy.

"A dozen" people were arrested, indicates this Tuesday on BFMTV Arnaud Boutelier, deputy regional secretary of the Alliance police union.

"Eleven individuals, including minors" were arrested, specifies BFMTV, citing another police source.

The investigation will now have to determine the responsibility of each.

"We hope that the latter will be condemned firmly," reacts Arnaud Boutelier.

Outcry in the courts

These tensions are taking place even as this Tuesday, at midday, the police are meeting in front of the courts of France at the call of the police union organizations to say "stop judicial laxity".

The police consider iniquitous the verdict pronounced Sunday on appeal against the authors of the attack of Viry-Châtillon, in 2016.

Judicial laxity is enough!

See you tomorrow at 12:30 pm!

A request which finds a wider echo in the news.

Last night in Tourcoing, the police responded to the LBD after coming under fire from mortars and molotov cocktails.

Garbage cans and at least one vehicle were set on fire.

“For the moment we have been able to avoid serious injuries except that a few years ago, at Viry-Châtillon, that was not the case, regrets Arnaud Boutelier.

We don't want that to happen again and we want justice to be less lenient towards this type of individual.

Darmanin will receive the Viry-Châtillon police officers on Saturday

The police officers who demonstrate this Tuesday are waiting "for the sentences handed down to be actually carried out".

"Today, we cannot leave delinquents with complete impunity, especially when we attack the police in the exercise of their mission," claims Arnaud Boutelier.

They are there to protect, we are not there to be assaulted or killed.

In Tourcoing, the climate degenerated on Saturday after the arrest of several individuals who were engaged in an urban rodeo.

In this city where drug trafficking is persistent, the police presence disturbs, wants to believe Gérald Darmanin.

"We are now winning this battle" against drugs, welcomes the Minister of the Interior, guest of RTL on Tuesday.

Gérald Darmanin informs that he will receive in Beauvau, Saturday morning, the four police officers from Viry-Châtillon.

"First of all to bring them once again the support of the government," he said, "and, in general, to support, as I do every day, the police and the gendarmes.
