30 minutes after the incident, a caregiver announced that Alvarez was doing well.
The fainting spell was stress-related and was not the first of its kind.
Alvarez also lost consciousness at the end of her freestyle during the Olympic qualification for Tokyo last year and had to be rescued from the water by her trainer and her duet partner.
