Indersdorfer Gabel: road closed due to traffic lights

The most dangerous accident node: There were 22 crashes at the Indersdorfer Gabel in 2021 alone.

Work on the construction of a traffic light system at the so-called Indersdorfer Gabel started yesterday, Tuesday.
The work will take a good five weeks, and some of the roads will be closed to traffic.

– State road 2050 from the direction of Markt Indersdorf from the roundabout with district road DAH 10 to the junction with state road 2047 is blocked in both directions during the work, as the Freising State Building Authority announced.
Traffic on State Road 2047 will not be affected by the closure.
However, the lane is narrowed in the construction site area.
State road 2047 must also be completely closed during the milling work and asphalt paving (graphic).
This work is expected to begin on October 26th.
In this first construction phase, the signposted diversion route from the direction of Indersdorf leads from the roundabout via district road DAH 10 to Stetten on state road 2047. The diversion route applies to both directions of travel.
The bike lanes will not be affected by the construction work.
In the past there have always been accidents, some of them serious, at the Indersdorfer Gabel.
Classic traffic law measures such as a speed limit of 60 km/h, bishop's hats, a stop sign and a priority sign for people turning left from Stetten were unfortunately not enough to reduce the number of traffic accidents in the long term.
A report commissioned by the Freising State Building Authority came to the conclusion that a traffic light is the quickest way to make the Indersdorfer Gabel safer for all road users.
It manages without major structural changes at the intersection and is sufficiently efficient even with the traffic volume forecast for the next few years, according to the state building authority..
