Intel has already chosen to set up its future European factory in Germany.
The American semiconductor maker whetted the appetites of all the big countries of the Old Continent when its CEO, Pat Gelsinger, announced that he wanted to build a factory there.
The amounts of investment announced have turned heads: a first installment of 10 billion dollars for the first production line, and up to 100 billion over the next decade, to increase capacities and skills.
The announcement of the decision is expected in the coming weeks, for a start of production in 2024. The group has not yet completely made its choice.
He would hesitate between Dresden, most likely, or Munich.
"The German ecosystem is the most able to meet Intel's expectations"
, slips a connoisseur of the sector.
Indeed, the production unit must be part of an industrial environment, presenting local outlets.
