The Italian Inter Milan achieved a difficult and valuable victory over Barcelona, with a goal without a response, in a match that brought them together today in the group stage competitions of the European Champions League.
Inter's only goal was scored by Turkish player Hakan Calhangulu in the 45+2 minute, to inflict Barcelona's second defeat in a row in the group, and complicate its position.
With this victory, Inter raised its score to 6 points in second place, behind leaders Bayern Munich with 9 points, while Barcelona's balance froze at 3 points in third place.
