Today, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection issued a number of decisions, according to which it specified the materials, goods and services that meet a basic need for consumers and the measures that need to be taken by the rationing judicial police agencies against the violating shops and economic activities that deal with these materials, goods and services.

In its decisions, the Ministry affirmed the necessity for the producers of Arabic and French sweets classified (excellent type) made from animal ghee and (first type) made from animal or vegetable ghee to prepare a cost statement and deposit it with the Ministry's Price Directorate for the items and types offered for sale by them, provided that the cost is actual and realistic. It also authorized the directors of internal trade and consumer protection in the governorates to issue bulletins for the prices of popular sweets made from vegetable ghee in light of the costs provided to them by the producers of these sweets and the profit margins specified in the Ministry's decisions.
