Bayernliga: Garchinger Stephan Thee moves to the camp of fellow competitor VfB Hallbergmoos.

Hallbergmoos

– With three meager points from the first six games, VfB Hallbergmoos is back in the Bayernliga relegation battle.

And before the trend-setting basement duel at TSV Dachau 65 (Friday, 6.30 p.m.), leading players are needed.

One could be Stephan Thee, who moved from league rivals VfR Garching to Hallbergmoos this week.

He should already be in the starting XI in Dachau.

Gained a lot of experience in higher leagues

The 5-1 defeat against Schalding-Heining, who had been relegated to the regional league by no means outstanding, once again showed clearly that leaders in the VfB team are few and far between, the existing ones are either injured or in a mental hole.

One would like to, but it's just not possible.

But the younger players need exactly these leaders to be able to arrive in the Bayernliga.

Stephan Thee can fill this gap as a potential superstar.

The 34-year-old completed 135 games (15 goals) in the 3rd division for Unterhaching, Burghausen and Osnabrück.

The ex-pro then played for Buchbach, Türkgücü Munich and FC Pipinsried before VfR Garching brought him in in 2021.

Coach Matthias Strohmaier sees the new leading player in the six: "He's a stroke of luck for VfB Hallbergmoos." Thee has mentality, an incredible amount of experience and has played almost everything in Garching from central defender to center forward.

Because his playing permit arrived on time, Thee will already be involved in Dachau on Friday.

Before the guest performance, Strohmaier does not beat about the bush and speaks of "a trend-setting game".

Like Hallbergmoos, the Dachauers only made it through the tough relegation class and are now paying the price for the almost non-existent summer break.

With five points, Dachau started only marginally better.

Both teams show parallels in the early stages of the season, such as many goals conceded (Dachau 13, Hallbergmoos 15) and many injuries.

Get out of the relegation zone

Strohmaier sees a risk of being stuck in the relegation zone for a long time if you lose to your opponent.

"We didn't want to catch up as hunters from below this season," says the coach.

The reunion with a former Hallbergmooser should also be canceled.

Sebastiano Nappo made his breakthrough at VfB, was then a regular at regional league club SV Heimstetten and is the king transfer of TSV Dachau this summer.

With three goals in four games and several aluminum hits, he has already set an exclamation mark.

Not much has changed on the Hallbergmoos side compared to the Schalding game.

Johannes Pettsch–ner is suspended after his red card, but Osaro Aiteniora can play again.

And the new leader Stephan Thee was to make his debut.
