An investigation is underway after the hacking of the British army's Twitter and Youtube accounts, the Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday.

We are aware of a breach of the military's Twitter and YouTube accounts and an investigation is ongoing.
The military takes information security very seriously and we are in the process of addressing the issue
,” the Department of Defense tweeted.

Until their investigation is complete, it would be inappropriate to comment further
," the department added.
Cryptocurrency videos and images of businessman Elon Musk have appeared on the Army's Youtube channel while his official Twitter account retweeted a number of posts that appear to be NFT-related.
The NFT, for "

The British army apologized on Twitter for the "
temporary interruption
" of its content, and announced the resumption of normal service of its account.
