The Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade announced today that the total volume of foreign investment in the industrial and commercial sectors increased by 52.2 percent in the past Iranian year, which ended on March 20, compared to the previous year.
And the Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the ministry as saying in the statistical tables it published that "154 foreign investments worth $3.758 billion were voted on in the industrial, mining and trade sectors during the past Iranian year."
The ministry indicated that the approved foreign investments included the establishment of new projects and the purchase of shares of existing companies, as well as investment in the form of contractual arrangements.
