THE QUESTION
. Could we have to be vaccinated every four months against Covid-19, or each time a new worrying variant emerges? Would such a strategy make sense? While the third doses of the vaccine have become widespread in Western countries and a fourth has been announced for the most vulnerable people in Denmark, the World Health Organization (WHO) shows its skepticism, shared by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). The argument is not only that of equal access to vaccines everywhere in the world - booster doses for rich countries would represent as many fewer doses for poor countries - but more profoundly that of the relevance of vaccinating several times at short intervals of time.
