Three rockets were fired this Friday evening from Syria towards Israel, the first since the beginning of the escalation of violence between the Israeli army and Palestinian Hamas, according to a military source in Jerusalem.
One rocket landed in Syrian territory and the other two hit uninhabited areas in northern Israel, the IDF said.

Earlier in the day, on the side of the Israeli-Lebanese border, Israeli soldiers fired at some Lebanese demonstrators who had managed to break into Israeli territory briefly.
A protester died according to the Lebanese national news agency ANI.

has intercepted about 90% of the 2,000 rockets fired since Monday from the Gaza Strip, territory controlled by Hamas.
