He would probably not refuse a transfer of the DFB defender.
But that's not the only reason why the rumors are picking up speed.

reporter Christian Falk reports in his podcast that Rüdiger is open to a move to Säbener Straße.

Apparently, negotiations about a contract extension at Chelsea are stalled because the club is not ready to increase its offer.
Rüdiger * demands more than the Blues are willing to pay.
According to media reports, he currently earns 5-6 million euros a year.

"I'll see if there's still money in my wallet and then we'll see," said Nagelsmann with a smile about a possible transfer.
His superior Hasan Salihamidzic was unable to elicit anything on the subject.
When asked, he reprimanded reporter Laura Wontorra quite vehemently before the game against Fürth.
FC Bayern: Exchange scenario possible - is Rüdiger coming for Süle?
Rüdiger is particularly interesting for FC Bayern * in the coming summer, as his contract is expiring and he would therefore be available for free.
Niklas Süle is also in his last year of contract, but it is far from certain that he will be extending it.
Rüdiger could act as a direct replacement for Süle.
Rüdiger himself recently took a stand himself.
"Personally, I have never spoken to any other club than Chelsea." Apparently, Bayern should have spoken to their agent.
Whether the contact is intensified depends on the situation with Niklas Süle, who recently showed an upward trend in sport.
"We are very well staffed in central defense," emphasized Salihamidzic.
If it is to stay that way, a club like Bayern should at least think about one of the best central defenders in the Premier League, if he is available.
