Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio announced that his country is working for dialogue and common solutions to the crises in the Mediterranean region.
And the Italian Aki news agency quoted Di Maio as saying on the occasion of the launch of the “Mediterranean Dialogues” conference in the capital, Rome: “Through this event, which is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of International Studies during these two days, we will continue to build a positive agenda that does not view the Mediterranean as a crisis area, but rather as a crisis area.” Recognizes his exceptional potential for dialogue and communication between Europe, Africa and Asia as a united great continent.”
Di Maio added: "With the Mediterranean Dialogues, Italy returns to the center of the Mediterranean to promote a positive agenda to contribute in a spirit of partnership in overcoming many critical issues that still exist across the region by benefiting from dialogue and cooperation."
