It also extended the ban on entry into the national territory for travelers from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
20% more tourists
Italy is expecting 20% more tourists this summer to try to revive the tourism sector which represents nearly 14% of GDP and has been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. According to several government officials, the country plans to remove the requirement to wear a mask outside during the first half of July. Italy has administered more than 44 million doses of anti-Covid vaccines to date.
