Jableh.. Extinguishing two fires on agricultural lands and within a building skylight

Members of the Jableh Forestry Division and the Zama Fire Brigade put out a fire that broke out today in the village of Qarn Heliya in the Jableh countryside in Lattakia Governorate.

Engineer Muhammad Saftali, head of the Jableh Forestry Division, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the fire destroyed 3 dunums of land filled with weeds, and the fire was extinguished, noting the cooperation of the people, who played an important role in quickly controlling the fire.

In a related context, members of the Jableh Firefighting Unit put out a fire that broke out today in a building lighthouse in the Naqaa neighborhood in the city of Jableh, caused by throwing cigarette butts.

A source in the Jableh Firefighting Unit stated that while extinguishing the fire, firefighter Ali Nazir Maalla from the fourth floor of Jableh Fire Unit fell and was taken to Jableh National Hospital for treatment.
