People are at the top of a 40-meter drop.
They are about to fall at almost 100 km / h.
This is a good time to ask yourself, "What the hell are they thinking?"
These roller coaster enthusiasts, or “daredevils,” are volunteers for the Jersey Devil Coaster attraction, which opened to the public on Sunday, June 13 at Six Flags Great Adventure in central New Jersey.
The park says it is "the tallest, fastest and longest monorail roller coaster in the world… At 13 stories high, the roller coaster takes riders across a 914 meter track."

Six Flags posted a 1:11 minute video of the attraction on their Twitter account.
Attraction is a "singular" experience.
Unlike most side-to-side roller coasters, the people at the Jersey Devil sit in single file.
Each train has capacity for 12 passengers.

The roller coaster "Devil" does not beat around the bush.

The park put up the last piece of the track in January and shared some of the roller coaster's features:

It is 13 stories high with the first drop of 39.6 meters
It extends for more than 915 meters
It offers "three dramatic reversals including a 180-degree drop, a raven drop, and a zero-gravity spin."
How did Six Flags come up with the evil name?
“Jersey Devil folklore has been a source of fear and intrigue here in the Pine Barrens for over 200 years.
We are going to introduce guests to an iconic piece of New Jersey history in our monstrous new screaming machine, ”Great Adventure President John Winkler said, according to the Staten Island Advance newspaper.

A group from the YouTube channel Coaster Studios attended the park's media / VIP preview to record their walk and give their critiques.
"It's so different from all the other attractions here," says Taylor Bybee in the video at the conclusion of the attraction.
"I really enjoyed it," Bybee told CNN Travel on June 14.
"I think we took six or seven rides on it."
According to Bybee, the fact that the Jersey Devil is a single-rail coaster is more than just an interesting design and engineering fact.
