An applicant reacted to another job rejection with a meme - she was then invited to an interview.

She reports on TikTok.

It is difficult to start your professional life after school, training or studies - numerous applications are written, often you get no reaction at all or you get a job rejection.

This process is tedious and frustrating for applicants.

An applicant from the USA reacted to a rejection with a meme, and then she received an email with an invitation to an interview.

Job cancellation: The applicant reacted with this meme

For many applicants, the job is ticked off when a message comes that unfortunately they have not been chosen.

This was also the case for the applicant from the USA for a long time – however, in the spirit of Generation Z, she simply sent back a meme when a job was canceled.

She chose the following:

The meme features Fernando Botero's painting "Pope Leo X" with the words "y tho," meaning "but why not?"

The applicant posted a video summarizing the whole situation on her TikTok profile @swedishswan.

The video is from July 15 and has now been played around five million times.

In the TikTok she is still in bed and describes her situation: "I really wanted the job, so I took Generation Z as a role model," she says in the video.

Laughing, she goes on to say that she then received an invitation to the interview and that her plan worked out.

Job cancellation: TikTok goes viral – “Here you write with a no reply email”

Around a million users responded to this TikTok with a heart, 36,000 saved it and almost 6,000 people commented on the video.

A comment from a user reveals that she also reacted to a job cancellation with a meme and also received an invitation.

Another user comments: "It's typical for older generations to hate the younger ones, but Gen Z is wild.

I love it".

However, the handling of job cancellations is different, as one user writes: "Here you write with a no reply mail." So you have no way of reacting.

In general, the video is quite popular on the internet, and the story can be a reason for many applicants not to give up so easily.

"This is the success story we need in these dark times," writes a user under the video.
