Watch: Four months have passed since the end of the famous libel trial, and now the first trailer for a feature film about the high-profile Hollywood affair has been revealed

The defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard fascinated the whole world in the past year due to the many details that were discovered during it about the destructive relationship between the former couple.

Now, four months after it ended in Depp's victory, the trial will be adapted into a feature film, like other famous public trials in history.

Today (Thursday) the trailer for a new movie called "Hot Take: The Depp/Heard Trial" went online.

The cinematic shoes of the two will be filled by Mark Hafeka ("Days of Our Lives") and Megan Davis.

Hafeka presents in the trailer an impressive physical resemblance to Depp, whose appearance at the time of the trial consisted of pulled hair, sunglasses and a goatee.

Heard's character is also reminiscent of the actress in reality, not least due to the emphasis on the details of the clothing she wore during the trial, which was broadcast to the whole world.

The trailer contains memorable (and embarrassing) scenes that took place in court during the public saga, and addresses how Heard dealt with mockery on social media.

This is alongside the facial expressions and general non-calmness shown by Depp during the trial, which earned him the support of the audience.

The film will also feature Melissa Marti as the actor's beloved attorney - Camille Vasquez, as well as Marie Carrig who will play Heard's lawyer, Elaine Bredhoft.

"Hot Take" is expected to be released on September 30 on the free streaming service Tubi.
