According to the department, the related construction works will be carried out in two phases and are expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

According to the Highways Department, the project scope of the waterfront promenade in the Metropolitan Park will include the construction of a waterfront promenade link road with a total length of about 1,000 meters and a landscaped platform with an area of about 11,500 square meters.

The department added that in the first phase, a waterfront promenade of about 315 meters long and a connecting promenade of about 400 meters long will be built, which is expected to be completed in mid-2024; while the second phase of the project will build a waterfront promenade of about 280 meters long.
