"Thanks to smartphones, so many Americans have seen the racial injustices that black Americans have suffered for generations," US Vice President Kamala Harris said in a message to the nation before ushering in President Biden.
They both referred to the verdict against former police officer Derek Chauvin, convicted of all counts in the death of George Floyd.
