Joshua Kimmich announces a new advertising deal on Instagram.
His wife Lina and Toni Kroos are amused.
Munich – Soccer stars like Joshua Kimmich are among the most popular people in Germany.
Among other things, Gillette uses this for advertising purposes – Bayern star Kimmich announced a partnership with the razor brand on Instagram.
Kimmich and other FC Bayern players such as Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka and Thomas Müller have been promoting Gillette for some time.
Behind the brand is the consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble, which is one of the larger sponsors of Munich.
Joshua Kimmich: Ms. Lina makes fun of beard growth
The fact that Kimmich, of all people, advertises razors has made some fans smile in the past.
The 27-year-old is not exactly known for his excessive beard growth.
In his latest Instagram post, Kimmich had to take it twice.
A dig is particularly painful because it comes from within your own four walls.
His wife Lina commented smugly: "Wow.
Now I've really read everything.” The two are newly married, their wedding was only a week ago.
Their relationship is obviously marked by unsparing humor - which is often not a bad sign.
Toni Kroos is kidding Joshua Kimmich because of the advertising deal
Not only Lina, but also his long-time companion Toni Kroos made fun of the Swabian with an ironic comment: "I couldn't have imagined anyone better." Kimmich takes the whole thing with humor and writes in the hashtags under the post: "It's really a shame about my blatant one beard growth".
But Kimmich doesn't come without a beard.
From time to time he wore a mustache, for example during the so-called "Movember" campaign, in which men want to draw attention to widespread diseases such as prostate or testicular cancer.
Teammate Manuel Neuer also drew attention on social media.
The goalkeeper surprised with an extremely colorful outfit in New York.
