Not just Naruto and Dragon Ball:
This weekend, the cinemas of Yes Planet and Rav Chen Dizengoff Tel Aviv will be painted in bright shades of Japanese anime, thanks to special screenings of the animated film "Fate Grand Order 2" (or in English: Fate / Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Paladin; Agateram).
The film is based on the successful free mobile game Fate / Grand Order - or FGO for short - which was launched in 2015 (but unfortunately is not available in app stores in Israel), downloaded tens of millions of copies and spawned an empire of spinups and branded products like series, manga booklets and even plays On the stages of Tokyo and Osaka.
In fact, the brand is so successful in Japan that one compares its level of success in the land of the sun rising to that of Pokemon Go.
No laughing.

Now, following the trend of anime affection that has recently developed in the country thanks in no small part to Tiktok, the cinemas are joining the celebration and allowing the viewing of the Japanese animated film on the big screen, in the company of similar enthusiastic fans.
Want (a kind of) additional Israeli connection?
Please: The plot of the film takes place in Jerusalem in the year 1273, when an evil king threatens to destroy the Holy City and turn it, not us, into a desert.
Looks like we've been there before, no?
But do not worry, because that is exactly why we have anime heroes with shining swords and flowing hair who will save the day.
Mini spoiler for those who do not know: King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table are also connected to the plot, because after all, Jerusalem - and Camelot - are not easily given up.

The film will be screened today, October 28, in Yes Planet cinemas across the country, in Rabbi Chen Dizengoff at 7:30 p.m., and in selected Yes Planet cinemas on Saturday, October 30.
The screening dates must be updated.
