It is always pleasant to meet the wines of the Kishor Boutique Winery, from the locality of Kishorit in the Western Galilee.
Beyond being a winery that operates in a locality where people with special needs live who also work there, Kishor does an excellent job.
The wines, which all come from vineyards in the Western Upper Galilee, carry a Mediterranean style.
Their guideline, led by owner Richard Davis and consultant winemaker Itai Lahat, revolves around a degree of refinement and restraint in the fruit, a significant seasoning presence and extroverted avoidance.
Alongside these, all the wines have a character and also the basic ones where you manage not to feel banal and generic.
All wines promote value for money.
While these are not cheap supermarket wines but relative to the quality they are more than lucrative.
The qualifying wines can be obtained on their website.
for life!

Kishor, Kerem Tefen Fortress 2018
Without a few words about astringency it is impossible: a
red blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a boat from a single vineyard, Tefen Fortress in the Western Upper Galilee. 18 months aging in French oak barrels, about 75% new. Dark red color, slightly opaque. In the nose red, black fruit and spices. full body. 14% alcohol by volume.

beef and lamb stews. Large chunks of beef on the bone, long-aged.
What the reviewer said:
A well-built body, elegant fruit, precise balancing acidity, lots of spices, depth, complexity and stylistic restraint. All this goodness is present when this wine is still young. One-year storage will deepen and further refine the qualities. Three to five years is a priority. The flagship wine of wineries in the country is almost always too expensive a matter. With such a price tag, this is an exceptional flagship wine in its value coefficient.
Value for money:
4/5 (very good).
In seven words:
Buy, hold back, reset and rescue in at least two years.
