The departure of Dominic Krabbat from Peißenberg a few months ago was accompanied by discord.

Now both sides have found each other again.

Peißenberg

- First he was there, then he was suddenly gone - and now he's back.

This is how the past eleven months went in the relationship between the Peißenberg "Miners" and Dominic Krabbat.

After the striker had been welcomed as a new signing by neighbors EC Peiting last summer with great advance praise and Krabbat also fulfilled the expectations placed on him in the Bayernliga, he was suddenly gone in December.

Personnel concerns at the ECP and the chance to play in the premier league again were the trigger for Krabbat's sudden return to his home club, which caused upset among those responsible for "Miners" and among the fans.

Contact with Dominic was never broken.

"Miners" boss Lisa Steidl

In the meantime, however, the topic has been ticked off for the division management and the coaching team.

So nothing stood in the way of Krabbat's second engagement in Peißenberg.

"The contact with Dominic was never broken," reported "Miners" boss Lisa Steidl.

"We followed his further career in the Oberliga and he also followed all other Miners games," said Steidl.

"Dominik was an absolute asset to the Miners in terms of sport, but he also made a good impression in the dressing room," reported Steidl.

In his 16 games for the Peißenberger Krabbat scored an impressive 31 points (15 goals, 16 assists).

He was one of the top scorers in the league.

In Peiting he was still on the ice in 22 games in which he had 18 points (13 goals, five assists) in the balance sheet.

Krabbat spoke to the board and crew

"His departure last year was not nice for the club, the team and the fans at the time," admitted Steidl.

With a certain time lag, however, his decision was understandable.

"Dominic spoke to everyone involved, so the board and team decided to give him another chance," said Steidl.

The "Miners" boss is happy that Krabbat will now attack for her team again.

Krabbat apologizes to fans and asks for leniency

The 35-year-old veteran had also recognized himself that his sudden farewell was not well received.

"I would like to apologize to the fans for that.

Back then I saw my last chance to play in the Oberliga and I just wanted to take advantage of this opportunity.

I think I did that too and that's a good thing," said Krabbat, who is happy that the Peißenberger leadership has given him a second chance.

"I hope you give them to me too," he asked the fans.

In any case, he is more than confident for the coming season: "We have a great team with which we can really achieve something big, together with you."
