A truck driver's windscreen was smashed by a rock yesterday on the A9.
The unknown “thrower” is now being sought by the police.
On Monday at around
9.50 a.m., a
50-year-old professional
driver drove
his semi-trailer combination along the
A9 motorway
in
the direction of Munich.
On the bridge
at Thurnsberg, in the municipality of Kranzberg,
he recognized a person who deliberately threw down a stone about 15 centimeters in diameter, which hit the windshield of his tractor head-on.
Stone throwers wanted: police are looking for witnesses
Fortunately, the stone did not get inside the vehicle, so the driver was not injured.
However, the windscreen was completely destroyed by the impact.
The damage is estimated at around 1500 euros.
An immediately initiated manhunt involving several patrols was unsuccessful.
The truck driver was able to describe the stone thrower as follows:
-masculine
- about 12 to 15 years
- blue/black outerwear
After the throw, the suspect probably went in the direction of Thurnsberg.
Witnesses who made statements about one or more people in the area of the bridge near
Thurnsberg
at the time of the crime are urgently asked to contact the
Freising Traffic Police Inspectorate
on 08161-9520.
