The opponent of Kirchheimer SC on Friday evening, FC Schwaig, is known for low-scoring games - the statistics promise a certain amount of boredom.

Kirchheim

– This year everything is different in the Landesliga Southeast, which no longer has a high-flyer after the Erlbach championship tour.

The top nine teams are within a four-point window and more than half the league makes up the top flight.

Not even FC Schwaig is there, who this Friday (7:30 p.m.) welcomes one of the surprise teams with Kirchheimer SC.

After the tough relegation battle last season, the Kirchheimers are doing well with nine points from five games, but KSC coach Steven Toy doesn't seem all that happy.

The unnecessary 0:3 defeat at newly promoted ASV Dachau is still on his stomach and was not completely forgotten even after the 4:0 home gala against TSV Grünwald.

With Schwaig, who came third last year, the Kirchheimers already have the third top team in front of them.

With the victories at Eintracht Karlsfeld and FC Unterföhring, Kirchheimer defeated two of the favorites away from home.

Even though Schwaig didn't get off to a great start with six points in five games, the task should be even tougher this time.

Schwaig's weak start is also due to personnel problems.

Last year's third is statistically the bore of the league with 5:5 goals.

They scored the second fewest goals up front, but conceded the fewest hits at the back.

This is perhaps also due to the fact that player-coach Benjamin Held is currently playing central defender instead of striker.

When the two clubs meet, the past always plays a role.

Pero Knezevic once moved to Schwaig as a coach from Kirchheimer SC and several players accompanied him.

This was the beginning of the club's ascent towards the district league.

"We have a friendly rivalry," says Steven Toy with a grin on the development aid for the club, which is now number one in the Erding district.
