More and more companies are publishing their own NFTs.

Lamborghini is also following the trend and has come up with something special for it.

Sant'Agata Bolognese (Italy) – Digitization is progressing all over the world and is also clearly noticeable in everyday life.

You can now conveniently pay with your cell phone almost anywhere.

US automaker Tesla even accepts cryptocurrencies.

Recently, there has also been more and more talk of so-called NFTs or non-fungible tokens.

These are non-replaceable digitally protected objects.

These are based on blocks of information that are lined up like a chain.

There are now numerous such NFTs in circulation, some of which fetch high prices.

A trend that the Italian carmaker Lamborghini is now following, as reported by 24auto.de.

“Entering the metaverse proves once again that Lamborghini is about exploring new horizons.

We followed the call of the NFT world and are excited to get involved with this passionate and innovative community,” emphasizes Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann.

The Audi subsidiary has come up with something very special for this purpose: the Lamborghini Space Key.

"The heart of this exclusive project, limited to five examples and created in collaboration with an as yet unnamed artist, is a fragment of state-of-the-art carbon fiber composite material that Lamborghini sent to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019 as part of a collaborative research project," emphasizes the Italian carmaker .

Lamborghini does not reveal exactly what the project on the ISS was all about.

After its return from space - and some tests for research purposes - the carbon fiber is now part of the Space Key.

These are linked to exclusive, purely digital works of art by this artist via a QR code on the back.

Lamborghini does not reveal what kind of digital artwork it is.

The Audi subsidiary also keeps secret when and where the Space Keys and NFTs will be auctioned off.

However, that information is set to be announced in the coming days and weeks - as will the name of the artist.
