It could be a compact electric SUV, naturally in the premium segment, the first model of the new Lancia generation which - as confirmed by Luca Napolitano, CEO of the Stellantis brand - will completely renew its offer within a ten-year plan that includes small , medium-compact and flagships.
The basis of this new model, which should take up the Ypsilon's 'city chic' heritage, will not be the Stellantis electric e-CMP architecture already adopted for the Opel e-Mokka and Peugeot e-2008, but a specific development for the brand. Lancia of the STLA Small architecture (announced by Stellantis last July) intended precisely for models such as the future small Lancia.
The brand's values - in terms of style, quality and dynamic behavior - will characterize not only the dynamic characteristics of the heir to the Ypsilon but also the design of the bodywork and the interior.
All this will position the new Turin B-suv in the DS 3 Crossback e-Tense, rather than in that of the other two 'cousins' Bev of Stellantis.
There are no details or images of the hypothetical Ypsilon SUV at the moment - given that the launch should take place in 2024 - but a German designer, Bernhard Reichel, imagined it by reconstructing its appearance and proportions for the Autoevolution magazine.
