Thuringia's Ministry of the Environment has set up a funding pot totaling 4.2 million euros for digital projects in villages and small towns.
The ministry announced on Monday in Erfurt that the money could be accessed by the municipalities by mid-January 2022.
Erfurt - The money could be used to finance, for example, digital neighborhood and volunteer platforms for village communities, digital advertising pillars or training courses for children and senior citizens, said Infrastructure Minister Susanna Karawansky (Left).
The funding offer would be fed from two different programs, one with a volume of over 1.7 million euros is aimed at towns and districts with up to 10,000 inhabitants.
Projects to be implemented can extend over the years 2022 and 2023.
