Lantian passerby was hit by a garbage truck and her left foot was severely broken

A passing woman in Lantian was hit by a garbage truck, and her left foot was severely injured and shattered.

At about 2:30 this (29th) afternoon, a garbage truck drove along Kai Tin Road in Lam Tin and knocked down an old woman passing by when she reached Kai Tin Shopping Centre. The old woman fell to the ground with serious injuries, and her left foot was severely broken. A large amount of blood was left on the ground. Ambulance personnel arrived and sent the old woman to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for rescue. The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
