Latin American footballers on FIFA The Best 2020 list

FIFA reported this Wednesday the final list of candidates for The Best award and there are several Latin Americans included.

FIFA reported on Wednesday the final list of candidates for The Best award.

The award will be given by popular vote and the winners will be awarded on December 17, FIFA said in a statement.

In the list of candidates for best player, the quota for South America is given by the Brazilian Neymar, from Paris Saint-Germain, and the Argentine Lionel Messi, from FC Barcelona.

Europe lists 6 players:

  • Thiago Alcântara, Spain, FC Bayern München / Liverpool FC

  • Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal / Juventus FC

  • Kevin De Bruyne, Belgium / Manchester City FC

  • Robert Lewandowski, Poland / FC Bayern München

  • Kylian Mbappé, France / Paris Saint-Germain

  • Sergio Ramos Spain / Real Madrid CF

  • Virgil van Dijk, Netherlands / Liverpool FC

Africa will be represented with Liverpool FC's forward duo, Sadio Mané from Senegal and Mohamed Salah from Egypt.
