Leclerc's "anti-inflation shield": behind the boost, a publicity stunt?

Two weeks ago, Michel-Edouard Leclerc announced his anti-inflation weapon, the price freeze of 121 of the most purchased products.


Michel-Edouard Leclerc, the president of the strategic committee of the E. Leclerc centers, presented the “anti-inflation shield” on Monday, May 2, with great appearances on TV and radio sets.

A total of 121 products among "the most purchased between October 2021 and March 2022" are announced at blocked prices from May 4 to July 31, in drive and in the majority of the brand's stores.
