The Saxon left wants to evaluate the federal election at a party congress in Schkeuditz in November and derive goals and tasks for the coming period.
In addition, the state board will be newly elected, announced the party on Monday in Dresden.
The party congress will take place on November 13th and 14th.
The main proposal is entitled “Perspective 2024 - Socially Just for Saxony”.
Dresden / Schkeuditz - Just like the federal party, the Left in the Free State suffered an election failure in the Bundestag election on September 26th.
In Saxony they only got 9.3 percent of the second votes (2017: 16.1).
After all, Sören Pellmann was able to win a direct mandate in Leipzig and thus help his party to enter the Bundestag.
Just because the Left have three direct mandates, they are still represented in the new Bundestag despite their only 4.9 percent second votes.
