A good two weeks after the state elections, which were disappointing for them, the left-wing parliamentary group meets in Schwerin for its constituent meeting.
At the meeting on Tuesday (11.00 a.m.) the top of the parliamentary group will also be re-elected.
Simone Oldenburg, who has held this office since 2016, is again running for the parliamentary group chairmanship.
The 52-year-old is reportedly running without any opponent.
Schwerin - Jacqueline Bernhardt is applying for the post of Parliamentary Managing Director.
Like Oldenburg, she has been in parliament since 2011 and would succeed Peter Ritter, who had not run again for the state parliament.
In the state elections, the left had again lost votes.
9.9 percent of the votes were still enough for nine instead of the previous eleven seats in the state parliament.
